| Abstract | The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of using the suspension of Parachlorella nurekis 1904 KIEG in poultry on performance and quality of eggs and meat. In the first experiment, 120 hens were divided into two treatments. Experimental group received suspension of Parachlorella (30 ml/hen). In experiment with 300 cockerels Ross 308, control group, treatment with Parachlorella in mixed feed (60 g/kg) and group where chickens had Parachlorella in drinking basin (amount according to age, from 3 to 21 ml/chicken/day) were used. The suspension of Parachlorella significantly increased egg production by 5% and egg weight by 4 g and decreased cholesterol content in egg yolks. In contrast to considerable effect of Parachlorella in hens, no significant changes were found out in chickens. The suspension in diet significantly increased only body weight in 14th day of age by 27% contrary to control, but there was not determined differences in body weight in 35th day of age. |
