Abstract

In this first part of the article, a bio-economic model for dairy cattle production was described to estimate economic values of 18 traits for dairy and beef sires in Holstein population applied crossing with beef bulls. The economical, biological and production parameter used for the calculation was predicted for the expected situation in 2015 (free market without milk and fat quotas), and is described in the article.
