The effect of dietary supplementation of selenium (Se) organic compounds (Se-fortified yeast and Se-fortified Chlorella) on the performance and carcass of male broilers was studied. No significant differences in feed conversion and mortality were observed, whereas the live weights in were significantly affected. Any significant differences were not recorded in carcass evaluation and dressing percentage. Se-fortified Chlorella could serve as the new organic Se dietary supplement for poultry.
