Abstract

The effect of dietary supplementation of Se on carcass evaluation and Se concentration in liver and meat of broiler chickens was studied. This supplementation increased the Se concentration in liver and meat, while the effect on carcass evaluation was not detected. Se-fortified Chlorella could serve as the new organic Se dietary supplement for poultry and meat of broilers fed Se-enriched yeast supplement could be considered functional human food.
