Abstract

Prolific line of sheep merinolandschaf (PLiM) is formed by the use of the high fertility majorgene FecB (Booroola gene). The occurrence of this gene was confirmed in the sheep breed merinolandschaf in the Czech Republic by genotyping. In this article, the comparison between the PliM and the rest of the population of merinolandschaf in the CR is presented and the possibilities of its practical use are outlined.
