Abstract

Calving difficulties (CD) are one of functional traits which cattle breeders are now interested in. The economic consequences of CD incidence are considerable even in dairy cattle breeding. In the breeding program, evaluation of bulls for direct effect (CD of served cows) or maternal effect (CD of daughters), and cows selection (size and form of pelvis) can be used.
