This subsequent installment builds upon the identification of the most common phenotypic traits observed in hybrids of the Red deer and the sika deer. However, some hybrid individuals do not exhibit any reliable external characteristics that would allow for unambiguous classification. In such cases, it becomes necessary to employ either established, though now somewhat outdated, morphometric approaches or to rely on genetic analyses. The present article is devoted precisely to these methodologies.
