| Abstract | In the methodology, the basic requirements for good economics of bull fattening are described. These include meeting the rate of average daily weight gains in bulls of meat and dairy breeds (1200 and 1000 g, respectively), high carcass weights (700 and 650 kg of live weight), such prices of bull calves for fattening as provide economically effective fattening, good health state of bulls, minimum mortality and emergency slaughters, high quality of slaughter animals and secured bargain market price. The optimal nutrition, skilled staff and cost-effectiveness are the prerequisites. The SEUROP system classification is a stimulus for quality improvement. A preliminary analysis in introduction of bull fattening branch and the annual evaluation of productionresults are necessary. |
