Abstract

Contemporary research is aimed on new methods for an inhibition of parasitary diseases in farm animals because of a high cost of development of new drugs and an increasing resistance of parasites. Present experiments proofed that application of mold spores on a farm animal faeces on pastures drastically decreases number of helminth larvae which can infect other animals by 90%. When the spores are incorporated to the animal diet the parasitary burden of animals is decreased up to 100%. After wider analysis of a mold spores and animal health interaction, commercial granulated feed supplements with spores should be available for farmers.
